340B Drug Pricing Program

MCHC is proud to be able to offer access to its patients to the 340B Drug-Pricing Program. This program can help our patients save substantial dollar amounts on prescription medications!

340B is a program created by the federal government that provides medications to eligible health care organizations and covered entities, like MCHC, to help patients receive medications at lower costs. The purpose of the 340B program is to “Stretch scarce federal resources as far as possible, reaching more eligible patients and providing more comprehensive services.”

A few of the many 340B benefits include:

Reduced cost on your medications if your income qualifies

Potential lowered cost on medications for Medicare

patients during the coverage gap or “doughnut hole” period

Lower cost on medications that are not covered on a

patient’s insurance.

340B is available to ALL MCHC patients while under the care of a MCHC provider on medications at a 340B MCHC pharmacy. 340B also serves to help expand out clinical services and helps provide MCHC with the latest and most up-to-date equipment.  In addition, MCHC also offers a sliding fee discount program that helps reduce medical costs to patients at MCHC.

Sliding scale can be utilized to reduce medication costs to patients based on the number of people in the household and the annual household income. Qualification for sliding scale is based on the Federal Poverty Guidelines that are updated annually.

If you have any questions about 340B please feel free to reach out to MCHC’s pharmacy staff.
